Parks & Rec Twin Peaks Archery Classes Offered

Ready to hit the bullseye? The Twin Peaks Archery Program is now open for registration for both adults and children! Whether you're just starting or have some experience under your belt, this is the perfect chance to hone your skills in a fun and supportive environment. The Way of the Bow is a 9-week training program designed to give kids ages 10-18 a solid foundation in archery, ensuring they start with confidence and skill. This session runs from March 5th to April 30th. Youth monthly classes begin May 7th, held every Wednesday at 4:00 PM, while Adult monthly classes start March 5th, also on Wednesdays at 5:00 PM. All equipment will be provided, so just bring your enthusiasm. Program is located at Twin Peaks Rotary Centennial Park. Twin Peaks, CA 92391: Twin Peaks Archery. Whether you're aiming for the Olympics gearing up for hunting season or simply enjoying some backyard target practice-don't go it alone. Join the Archery program, the perfect place to sharpen your skills, have fun, and connect others with others. No equipment? No problem! We've got you covered. If you have your own gear, feel free to bring it. Youth Classes: Wednesdays, May 7th - Oct. 29th. $75 per month per person. $20 drop in fee.  
Kids can kickstart their archery journey by taking the Way of the Bow before joining the youth classes, ensuring a strong foundation and a confident start. 
"The Way of the Bow": Youth ages 10-18 (younger participants considered with instructor approval). Fee $225 ($25 off sibling discount for 2 or more children). Wednesdays at 4pm March 5th to April 30th. -Embark on a journey to master the art of archery while discovering its deeper lessons in focus, discipline, and perseverance. This 9-week course, following USA Archery guidelines, draws inspiration from The Archery guidelines, draws inspiration from The Archer  by Paulo Coelho, guiding students through 8 essential steps. Allies, Targets, the Bow, Arrows, Draw, Release, Reflect, and Repeat. The program culminates in a high-stakes, winner-takes-all tournament where participants can showcase their newfound skills. No prior experience or equipment is required-just a passion for learning and a desire to grow!  
Adult Classes: 5 pm to 6 pm. Held on Wednesdays, March 5th to October 29th. Cost: $75 per month per person and $20 drop in. 
About the Instructor: Daniel P Cook is a certified instructor with USA Archery and the National Archery in the Schools Program. He brings his expertise to the Park DIstrict, sharing the ancient art of archery along with its deep historical roots through a comprehensive curriculum focused on deccisssssive action and mindfulness. With over 2- years of experience in leadership and education, Daniel has served in the US Army and National Guard, as well as with the US Fish and Wildlife Service.
