Hello, Rim Virtual Academy!

Welcome back to a new school year! I am thrilled to have the opportunity to serve as your Alternative Education Specialist. My name is Jeremy Montiel, and I am a proud resident of Crestline. I am deeply committed to supporting our students in achieving their full potential and creating an inclusive environment where every student feels valued, heard, and inspired to learn and grow. This unwavering commitment is at the heart of every decision we make in the 2024-2025 school year.

My educational journey from RCC, UCR & USC, combined with my 3+ years in educational counseling within the Hesperia Unified School District, has equipped me with the knowledge and skills to prioritize a relationship-centered approach. I have seen first-hand that an emphasis on strong, positive connections fosters a thriving educational community. I look forward to being a team player for meaningful relationships with all as we promote systems that support academic and interpersonal success.

Together, let’s celebrate each student's unique strengths and motivate them with the tools and resources to approach their barriers to learning as misunderstood opportunities to master. I look forward to our upcoming school year and am eager to meet and work with each of you!
